Unfortunately it was closed because of flooding, but the part we did see was nice. Close to Mossman, easy roads and really good parking. The cafe and retail shop were nice and clean, and the staff were really helpful and nice.
One of the best places to visit in Cairns. There is a beautiful walk through the dense jungle to reach to the Gorge. The water in the gorge was very clean. The big stones in the water add more beauty to the scenery around. It is a must visit place if you are in Cairns!
Amazing place to visit for a swim on a hot day. Really picturesque and tranquil. Definitely catch the bus it's a hike up there.
While you can walk there easily, we paid the bus ride in respect of the aboriginal community. I say they could have split the ride cost to entrance fee and optional bus ride. Anyway, we were told swimming is not permitted but water was fine. Who wants to pay if they cant go into the water.
We loved this place! The gorge was such a beautiful swim! Fresh and cool. We loved swimming with the fish and the sand under our feet and of course the views. Highlight of our holiday. We did the 2km walk too. It was well worth it, coming across beautiful curtain fig trees, and the little turn off to the creek brought us out into this picturesque spot.
