The Melbourne Cup takes precedence over peoples health, that's really disappointing and sad.I called in to see if I could see a doctor or at least get a prescription for painkillers. I was asked who I usually see and told that my doctor is only there Tuesdays and Thursdays. I was told that he was booked out Thursday and they were closing this afternoon due to the Melbourne Cup. Therefore I'm left in great pain Very very disappointed and sorry to leave a not so good review as my doctor is lovely.
I'm on holidays in Mossman. I am in desperate need of a prescription for my preventive asthma medication (symbicort), and a check up. I'm an Australian citizen with a Medicare card and a pension card. I was told that because I am not a local, I had to pay a 90 dollar consultation fee, and the only accepted concession card was a Healthcare card. I will most likely call an ambulance soon, taking up their valuable time. I have never experienced anything like this before in Australia. Just awful people with zero decency and zero compassion. Heartless really.
